Set in the
grounds of How Caple Court, on the north side of the magnificent old
courtyard, is our beautifully restored Function Barn, originally a
seventeenth century tithe barn. In the heart of the Herefordshire
countryside with stunning views across the Welsh mountains, yet located
only 5 miles from Ross-on-Wye, 11 miles from Hereford and close to the
M50, the barn is an ideal venue for weddings and parties.

The barn
has a slate floored entrance hall and comprises of a large room with oak
flooring (with under floor heating), panelling, chandeliers, beams and
murals - a remarkable piece of history. The 11 acre gardens is available
for photography while your guests enjoy drinks on one of the formal
terraces prior to the reception. The barn will seat 100 guests on round
tables and it is possible to erect a marquee at the side of the building
to create additional space for circulating, dancing, a bar or extra
diners.

The
Function Barn is hired out "bare" i.e. with no catering, tables and
chairs etc. This gives you the opportunity to hire items to suite your
taste and colour scheme and the flexibility to provide your own catering
or hire caterers of your choice. The barn has a large kitchen and a car
park with space for at least 50 cars.
Our
normal hire runs from midday the day before until 1am on the evening of
your wedding or party. You will be expected to leave the venue clean and
tidy by midday the day after the function.
Whether
you are planning an intimate gathering or something more lavish, you
will enjoy your special day in a stunning location surrounded by
magnificent countryside.
The
beautiful church in the gardens is available for weddings at the
discretion of the local vicar.

The
barn is ideal for many other functions such as parties, conferences,
christenings etc. Please contact
us to discuss your needs and rates.
